Our Story
Backyard Depot Ponds And Landscaping’s story goes way back in 2003. Back then, it acted both as a pond construction company and a pond retailer in a smaller town in Oklahoma.
In 2009, Keith Smith bought the business and quickly fell in love with the process of building ponds. Driven by passion and dedication, he saw a growth opportunity in the pond niche and a chance to bring hope to people’s lives with his work. As the company started to grow, Keith decided to sell the retail part and move the business to Tulsa.
He knows that a water feature creates more than just a nice spot in your backyard. It gives you a place where you can recharge and reconnect with yourself and your loved ones. Born out of a unique design, your pond will enrich your life and make your home stand out.
When Passion Comes First
Keith and his team are the ones you can rely on when it comes to building the ultimate water feature. In 2016, Cooper joined the company and now is the team leader.
Keith has known Cooper since he was five years old, and their partnership made the business even more fruitful. Their love for enhancing landscapes helped them bring new water features to over 170 homeowners in Tulsa and surrounding areas during the past 12 years.
